Mission 2: To save the Earth

[Vorn Krace]

((OFF: Hope you don't mind me starting this, but I think people are starting to get restless))

Vorn got out of the jeep and walked straight up to the entrance to the massive ship. He didn't stop to take in the sight - he had seen it before.

Remembering the way around the vessel, he headed straight for the Bridge.

[Justin Arturo]

Off: Not at all

Justin walked up the ramp following his CO and headed straight for engineering. He decided that he would assist the chief engineer with repairing the ships systems. He would like very much not to die today.

[Gilad Callista]

As the Jeep pulled up near the ship, Gilad remembered the moments he had spent in the Command Chair, flying it safely home. Stepping out of the Jeep and taking in the sights, Gilad smirked to himself, his heart pounding proudly that he would soon be fighting to save his home planet.
Strange, I've never had these feelings before... he thought, slightly bemused. Shrugging, Gilad began to make his way up the entry ramp.

Next stop - the Bridge.

[Bob Wilson]

Bob went straight for the airlock on the Artemis and headed in. He decided that he would stay with his team and direct them around the ship as he was fairly faimiliar with the ship.

[Chris Ellis]

After the meeting in the briefing room had disbanded Chris stretched out and went out into the corridoors of the Artemis, passing by the cargo hold he took a look in and saw his medical gear being loaded aboard, after that he headed up towards the bridge himself.

((As i seem to be the only crewman around since september i hope noone minds that i skipped the conclusion of the briefing))

[Tal Locke]

Tal followed Major Wilson on to the Artemis. This being his time seeing the ship, and only having heard a little about it, Tal is very excitted to have a look around and become familar with the ship. Not sure on what else to do, Tal sticks close by to Major Wilson, hoping he will fill him in on more of the details about the Artemis, and also his role in the upcomming mission.

[Bob Wilson]

Seeing the surprise on his teammates faces Bob said "Don't worry I will fill you all in about the ship before we are engaged in battle." Bob went back to escorting his teammates on to the Artemis.

[Justin Arturo]

Justin took only a few minutes to readjust himself to the engine room of this wonderful vessel. He bypassed the engineer on duty and began running his scans. After about 15 minutes he had found the good news that he was searching for.

Keying his radio "Arturo to Krace, I will be able to get the shields up and running within the hour and the transporters within two."

[domtron vox]

After the briefing was over Domtron headed to put his things in his room then headed over to engineering to work on a few things. but a few minuets after he started working Justin Arturo came in and took over. Domtron wached him carefully so he could learn all he could.

After Justin was done Domtron asked "Do you need me to help you with any thing. Sir.?"

[Bob Wilson]

SG-1 started to head up to the bridge when Bob started to speak.

"This ship is capable of FTL, which is the reason we got home so quick. Without it we would of had to comeback by Stargate. Now im not too sure on the armaments but on the way back we found a room which looked somewhat different to the others and I think it might have been an armoury or something to that effect. Any questions?" Bob asked.

By this time they were in the bridge with most of SG-2 and Lt Col. in charge of the ship.

[Tal Locke]

"No questions sir, I am just looking forward to starting my first mission" Tal slowly walked around the bridge taking everything in. HE was amazed at what he saw, but he could still not stop thinking about the mission.

[Justin Arturo]

Noticing Vox for the first time Justin came out of his trance. "Hello, who would you be?"

[domtron vox]

Domtron Salutes Arturo and says "Second Lieutenant Domtron Vox reporting." he smiles "I'm assinged to engineering. This is my first mission " he looked at what Arturo was doing and continues "I was wondering if i could help you. I've read the manual you left for the engineering staff."

[Justin Arturo]

"O, you read my manual. Pleased to meet you, I guess I should have asked before taking over your engine room, sorry about that. Sure you can help me, currently the Artemis's shields are off line and I figure if we are going up against a mothership we should at least have shields to face them with."

Walking over to the main engineering console Justin begins typing commands "Do you see how the shield grid is not letting the bubble form around the ship. At first I thought that it meant that one of the arrays was damaged but its a computer command problem. So what we have to do is fix the command processors so that it will let the shields be activated by the bridge. Technically we could manually do it from here but who would like that. So why don't we start by accessing the basic defense operating system and then going through the lines of code one by one till we see where the gap is."
