SG2 Locker Room

[Vorn Krace]

A large square room. Around the walls are lockers for use of SG2, in the centre are a number of long benches. At one wall is a door into the office shared by the Unit's CO and XO.

Vorn entered the locker room and looked for the lockers with his name on; 'Maj. Krace"

There were three. One designed to hold weapons, one designated for his duty uniforms, and one which he had free choice over what to put in it. His dress uniforms he kept in his quarters.

Putting his P90, M11, and a Zat in his weapons locker, he then put his duty uniforms, the ones he wasn't currently wearing in his second locker. The third he left empty. All of his personal belongings were in his quarters.

After doing that, he went to take a seat in the office. It served more as a general duties room. It had a large desk normally seen in the labs around the base, two smaller desks for paper work and various equipment. It was as long as the locker room and about half as wide. He made sure to leave the door open.

Entering the locker room having been freshly released from the briefing, Gilad scanned around for his lockers.

Ah, next to the Major's, he thought.
He'd made an effort to be there early so that he could have a chat with his new teammates. Moving towards the lockers, he found they'd already been stocked.
Good 'ol General, he's had 'em stocked out for me!

Beginning to don his gear, Gilad kept half an ear out for anyone else in Vorn's team that would be coming along to get suited up. He could already feel the energy and excitement of his first mission growing inside him.

Tori walks in sighing opens her locker..and puts a her hat in there and exchanges her boots ..she turns round seeing gilad sitting there she salutes then sits down looking at some notes she had been give from the chief medical officer

Returning a salute to the officer from his seated position, Gilad said;

"Good afternoon Lieutenant. I trust you've settled in well? After arriving late myself, I'm still getting used to things; I'm looking forward to our upcoming mission though."

Pausing and looking at the floor between his boots for a moment, Gilad suddenly stood up.

"Paperwork beckons" he smiled, but he knew it would have to be done at some point - and now was as good a time as any whilst the team assembled and suited up.

Making his way to the office, Gilad saluted Vorn as he went through the door and sat down at his desk.
Drawing out a large mass of keys from his pocket once again, he sifted through the key-ring until he found the key he was looking for; unlocking the drawer with it and pulling out several files.
A lot of the files were about the Star Gate programme in general, but others were more specific to his duties. A couple more had arrived on his desk from the General outlining his additional responsibilities that he had requested from him.

"Oh dear" he sighed - more to himself than anyone; "Looks like I'm going to be pretty busy as things hot up..."

Sighing once again, Gilad began reading through some general files on the Star Gate programme.

Vorn, having been at the initial briefing had already read through the general papers and filled out the paperwork he needed before this mission started and now had his feet on the desk and was tossing a tennis ball up in the air. When Gilad walked in, he saluted while it was in the air before catching it again.

"How you doing, Lieutenant?"

((OK, so I'm RPing in two places at once, I need something to do while we wait for Rodda ))

((Hence why I've been posting here over the last few days ))

Looking up from his papers, Gilad replied;

"I'm doing well sir. I've got some paperwork to catch up on and I'm looking forward to the mission we've got coming. The team seems friendly enough to work with as well, and they've all welcomed me in, so I'm feeling pretty good!"

"Do you think you're ready for the mission?" Gilad finally questioned after a long wait.

He was gaining great respect for his new CO as he got to know him better. Gilad returned to his papers as Vorn mulled his answer over.

"Yeah. Piece of cake. I went on the first mission through the gate with SG5 before I was promoted and reassigned. I think that one was more interesting than this is going to be. Feels very......cold going through though. But the Doc says we should get used to it."

He caught the ball again but didn't throw it again, diverting his attention to Callista.

"What about you?"

[Tori Jones]

Meanwhile Tori Jones is sorting through her locker
she finds an old photo of her family...
" il see you soon" she walks over to the benches again and begins to change into her field uniform.

Vorn cocked his head, looking at the door, slightly confused.

"Is that...Lt Jones getting changed in the open there? Miss Lt Jones?" he asked Gilad

" sir is that you?" Tori see them and steps out wearing an under t-shirt and trousers underneath her uniform... she salutes

Vorn returns her salute with his index and middle fingers. "At ease, Lieutenant. Get dressed and kitted up. You too Callista. We're moving out in 10 minutes. I expect to see you at the gate room."

Standing up and grabbing his black jacket, pistol and P90 from his locker, he put his hat on and began putting the rest one while he walked out of the locker room.

"Oh. And do me a favour and don't bother bringing any extra weapons other than the standard kit. It's a recon mission." he said, stopping at he door before continuing.

((OK, Rodda hasn't posted yet, so unless he manages to post before we get too far into this mission, then I'm going to jsut pretend he stayed home.))

((Sorry about the delay, I'll post answers to your questions in sequence...))

"Well, I think I'm as ready as I ever gonna be. Clearly, an entirely new world, new technology - it's still a bit daunting, but I've gotta support the team mates."

"Just like you, I suppose" he smiled, after a small pause.

Gilad returned to his papers, and looked up again at Vorn's exclamation.
Seeing the direction in which he was looking, Gilad swung in the swivel chair that he was sitting so that he could peer out through the open doorway.

"Hmmm..." he considered for a moment, then finally said It appears to be her - I wouldn't stare too much though, she might notice..."

Again, Gilad busied himself with his papers, a smile curling the corners of his mouth.

Hearing Vorn stand and address the two of them, Gilad stood, already kitted up in his field gear. All he needed now was to get his weapons and ensure that he had all the supplies he'd need for the recon mission.
Moving to his locker, Gilad removed these items and placed them on his person.

After a quick exchange of salutes with Tori, Gilad walked towards the exit.

We really need to learn to relax some more in each other's company... he thought to himself on the way to the gate room; Those poor lower ranking officers must be saluting at every corner they turn - even when they're OFF duty..."

Shrugging, Gilad entered left the locker room.

Tori once ready slings her bag over her shoulder and picks up her weapons...full of adrenaline she follows gilad towards the gate room...she mutters " this is going to be ace!"...

Hawkeye had just finished cleaning out his locked that was in SG5s locker room and he headed for his new storage locker...on the way he bumped into a few airmen and some civilians who congratulated him. Once in SG2 locker room he looked around. Well I guess it is always better to start out with a clean slate. he thought and found his locker.
